Profile
Hands-on bioprocess technician and biotechnologist (MSc) with pilot-scale experience running microbial cultivation and first-step downstream recovery straight from bioreactors. I turn experimental protocols into reproducible, well-documented production — operating and maintaining the equipment, standardising the workflows, and keeping the facility running. Strong on process development, documentation and practical problem-solving. Norwegian (reads Danish comfortably) and English; EFTA citizen with no permit needed.
Core Skills
Downstream recovery & processing — harvest from bioreactors, disk-stack centrifugation, tangential flow filtration (TFF), protein skimming, freeze-drying · pilot-scale bioprocess operation & scale-up (to 400 L) · process development, standardisation & SOP authoring · sampling, buffer/media preparation & experiment setup · QC/analytics — FTIR, microscopy, cell counting, flow cytometry · equipment maintenance & facility utilities (UV-C, reverse osmosis) · electronic documentation.
Experience
Microa AS — Biologist / Operations Technician Jan 2023 – Sep 2025
- Ran microbial cultivation and first-step downstream recovery directly from bioreactors — scaling from 15 ml to 400 L — using peristaltic pumps, disk-stack centrifuges, TFF, protein skimming and freeze-drying.
- Planned and executed processing campaigns; performed sampling, buffer/media preparation and experiment setup; documented everything in dozens of SOPs.
- Standardised the workflows into a controlled, reproducible process, and secured facility approval for large-scale cultivation of genetically modified micro-organisms.
- Operated and maintained all equipment (compressors, freeze-dryers, centrifuges, pipettes) and built and maintained utility systems — UV-C water treatment and reverse-osmosis deionised water.
Geno SA — Laboratory Engineer Aug 2020 – Dec 2022
- Quality control and processing in regulated, shift-based production under strict traceability and QC requirements; sex-sorting by flow cytometry, CASA and microscopy.
- Maintained lab equipment and helped shift deviation handling from fault-finding toward product improvement.
PXO AS — Operating Advisor Nov 2025 – Present
- Map competence and training gaps and coordinate equipment-vendor training across projects; support QA and documentation.
Earlier: Norconsult — water sampling & microbial analysis (2017–2019) · Eik Senteret Tana — technical sales & service (2013–2017).
